I organise a FFA League here at HeavenGames, with Fun being the sole aim. There are no prizes, except bragging rights for 6 Months, an perhaps a nice colour like Sporting or Cookie‘s J. There have only been 2 Leagues previous to this, both of which were hugely successful, but I hope that the first League of 2008 will surpass both previous League’s with flying colours in terms of enjoyment and participation.

Sounds really fun, huh? Feel free to express your willingness to join and read more about the league here. If you have any doubts, contact in ESO or ask it in the FFA Fun Series thread.

Good luck to everyone!

AOE3/TWC/TAD Quick Reference Guide

Downloads Our very own Cyclohexane has completed his AOE3/TWC/TAD Quick Reference Guide. It includes loads of information that is highly useful to AOE3, TWC and TAD players.

Cyclohexane's guide provides the AOE3 community with a wealth of information. We highly suggest you download this excellent guide.

There are two methods you can use to view Cyclohexane's AOE3/TWC/TAD Quick Reference Guide, online or through a download. You will find links to the download and the online guide at the bottom of this page.

The intention of this guide is to create a compendium of information relating to Age of Empires III the War Chiefs and the Asian Dynasties. Much of this information is already on many different fan sites. The problem is, finding answers in all of the various forums is difficult. I have already done the leg work and verified the statistics. However, I am not perfect. If you use this spreadsheet and find an error, please notify me as soon as possible by replying to the forum post:

Originally I made a huge list of changes I made from the TWC to TAD Guide but it is so long I doubt there are many in the ADD age that will read it all. My advice is to look through every sheet as if it is new because I pretty much changed everything a little and some things a lot.

This Guide answers all of the common questions and a few you never thought to ask. In general, I tried to group the worksheet tabs in categories and in alphabetical order. I also started coloring coding the worksheet tabs for easier grouping. I can find anything in the guide within a few seconds, just look for key words.

here are a few topics that are covered...

• AOE3 Quick Reference Guide (Cover sheet with useful links)
• BUILDING GUIDES
• BREAKEVEN CALCULATIONS
• FIRE PIT GUIDES
• HOME CITY SHIPMENT GUIDES
• MINOR NATIVE GUIDES
• RESOURCE RATE GUIDES
• GENERAL STRATEGY GUIDES
• TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION GUIDES
• UNIT INFORMATION GUIDES (every unit in the game)
• MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

Note: There are many, many sub-topics included in the guide that aren't listed above.

Age Sanctuary "Smackdown" 1v1 Tournament

Tournament News

Here's the info from AgeSanctuary...

Quote::
AgeSanctuary is proud to announce the revival of the Smackdown tournaments run by MFO back in AoC.

These tournaments will be run weekly, starting either this weekend or the weekend afterwards. They will be run off elorating.com, many thanks to plexiq.

The Smackdown tournaments will be run in seasons of 6-8 weeks apiece, and at the end of each season the best competitors from that season will be invited to play in a season-ending invitational Smackdown event.

AoC's Smackdown competitions were as successful as they were because they encouraged people to enjoy playing with some very weird settings. Our Smackdown competitions will be no exception. To keep things fair, we will be announcing the settings for each Smackdown 1 hour before the tournament begins. All Smackdowns will be unrated (and 1v1) - we are here to play for fun only. We're looking into prizes for the invitational event, but at present it's all about having fun adapting to the unique play conditions every week.

How do you play?
Sign-ups will open at elorating.com soon. Sign-ups will open for most Smackdowns a week before the event (i.e. they will open on Sundays). Check-ins will open the following Saturday, at 19 GMT, and will stay open for half an hour until 19:30 GMT, at which point play begins.

I will post back here when sign-ups have opened

I hope to see plenty of you there.
